HERE ARE A FEW TIPS ON INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL, ESPECIALLY HELPFUL TO THOSE WHO ARE DOING THIS FOR THE FIRST TIME...
|
For any travel overseas, you will need a us passport. Please obtain it first. The rest we can do for you.

The Russian government requires a letter of invitation (sometimes called a voucher), issued by an individual or
an institution in Russia. After you obtain this letter, you can contact a Russian consulate that has jurisdiction
over your area in the United States and request a visa for the period of time you are planning to visit. We will
provide this letter free of charge after you book your stay at Galina's.
If you have requested out help in obtaining your visa, we will provide all the information you need, all the
paperwork you need to fill out and plenty of on-line support in case you have any questions or run into anything
unexpected with the officials at the Russian consulate.
The process is actually quite simple: you fill out the paperwork, take it (or even mail it) to a Russian consulate
along with a check for their fees, WAIT, and --bingo, your visa is ready. That is, granted you know which papers
to send, to which consulate, and what information is crucial not to omit. But don't worry: if you have requested
our help, we will WALK YOU THROUGH THE WHOLE PROCESS.
There are certain companies on the web that offer to obtain a Russian visa for you, for a certain price. DON'T
FALL FOR IT! No one can issue a Russian visa except a Russian consulate. Common sense, isn't it? So what
these companies will do, is take your money (first, of course), then ask you to send them the paperwork AND you
passport (I don't know about you, but I personally wouldn't feel comfortable sending my passport anywhere,
regardless of how respectable this third party may be) and then put it in a different envelope and mail it to the
Russian consulate. SAVE YOUR MONEY! You can lick an envelope, can't you?
Some companies charge you for the voucher, on top of what the consulate charges for the visa. This is
something to keep in mind ESPECIALLY if you are looking to rent a vacation apartment.
NOW, REMEMBER:
Children will need a
separate visa, if they
are traveling with
separate passport.
All tourist visas are
limited to 30 days in
duration.

We fill up VERY FAST. If the services that you want are available during the time you have set aside for your travel, GRAB
'EM! This may not be the case if you decide to come back to this page later.
On the other hand, starting the reservation process does not obligate you to anything: you can always cancel if you
change your mind, and you will not be asked to pay for this reservation until you COMPETE the booking process. What it
does, is buy you time to think it over.
